Ask the Curator: The Fordson Tractor, Agriculture's Model T
Come join Collections Registrar, Matt Andres, as he examines Ford's agricultural vision. The Fordson tractor, manufactured by Henry Ford and Son Inc., was the first lightweight, mass-produced tractor that was affordable to the average farmer. The tractor is powered by a 4 cylinder, 3 speed, 20 horsepower engine and was in production in the United States between 1917 and 1928.
