Cape Coral has plenty of places to go and things to do all year round. Throughout 2017, you may have read about some of them in the pages of our magazine, in our events calendar, our business/places directory, or articles we've written that are exclusive to our website.

Regardless of where you may have heard about them, it can be tough to remember them all. Cape Coral's best activities and places are both well known and off the beaten path. Here are just some of the activities you can explore in 2018 and beyond in your hometown (or on your vacation if you're just visiting).

The Rotary Park Environmental Center Offers Free Tours of the Butterfly House

The Rotary Park Environmental Center is a beautifully landscaped 92-acre preservation that is made up of mostly salt marsh, some upland and plenty of rock just under the surface.

Rotary Park is also the home of the Tom Allen Memorial Butterfly House, donated and cared for by the Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife.

You can view all the beautiful butterflies and plants from the outside of the butterfly house every day, for free and you can pick up information on butterflies and how to attract them to your yard.
