The beer scene has grown significantly over the course of the past decade. Here in Cape Coral, there are many breweries to check out and enjoy a cold craft beer or two (or six!). Below is a list of some of the best the area has to offer.

1. No.3 Craft Brews & Beer Bar - Cape Coral, FL

Description (courtesy of No.3's website): "...at No.3 are here to guide you through our various selections of beers on tap, in bottles or in cans. Or, if you prefer, we can provide you with tools to explore on your own. That's a big part of what makes the craft beer revolution so interesting--the exploration." At No.3, you can: grab a six pack to go (including mix and match six packs), sit at the bar and enjoy 13 rotating beers on tap, have a draft while you shop, fill a growler of any beer on tap to take home, and much more.

Rating on Yelp: 5 stars

Best Quote/Review (courtesy of Yelp): "The owners and staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about beers, so even if you're not a beer connoisseur, you'll get a solid inside scoop on what to get. You can always ask for a little taster as well to try it before you buy it. One of my new favorite places to grab a drink for sure!" - Rachel L., Fort Myers

2. Scotty’s Bierwerks - Cape Coral, FL

Description (courtesy of Scotty's website): "Local brewery with tasting room. Local craft beer for sale."

Rating on Yelp: 5 stars

Best Quote/Review (courtesy of Yelp): "Best IPA and PA in the cape! Nice place with a good sized bar. On par with other micro breweries- they have about 8 different beer styles on tap. They also offer beers in 14, 8 and 4 oz. glasses. The only negative I can find is that the bright florescent ceiling lights give off an "industrial" feel. They turn off some of the lights, but even so you almost need to wear sunglasses! Being relatively new, I'm sure they have things to iron out. Please support your local brewery!!!" - Tom S., Cape Coral

3. Cape Coral Brewing Company - Cape Coral, FL

Description (courtesy of Cape Coral Brewing's website and Facebook page): "We are a craft brewery based in Cape Coral, Florida, dedicated to brewing full flavor beers with the greatest attention to quality ... Cape Coral Brewing Co is proud to be the Cape's first brewery producing hand crafted ales on our American-made 7 barrel brewhouse. Dog friendly patio outside and family friendly Tasting Room with life-sized Jenga and Connect Four, classic board games and foosball inside. Tasting Room is non-smoking/vaping."

Rating on Yelp: 4.5 stars

Best Quote/Review (courtesy of Yelp): "My wife and I visited Cape Coral for the first time last Friday. They had a big selection of their beers, had snacks you could munch on for free, and they had a band play. It sounds like the brewer/owner is the drummer. They were very entertaining. I had the Irish Red Ale and the Blueberry Kolsch. Both were good. My wife also enjoyed the Mango Kolsch. Don't expect luxury when you first walk into this place, but at the end of the day, we really enjoyed our evening. The pizzas we ordered from an Italian place near the brew pub was excellent as well! I hope they keep up the great work. We plan on coming back, hopefully with some friends." - Daniel H., North Port

4. Big Blue Brewing - Cape Coral, FL

Description (courtesy of Big Blue's website): "The Big Blue Brewery is a full functioning grain to glass facility. We pride ourselves on creating easy drinking and balanced beers that appeal to all levels of beer drinkers using local ingredients when possible like Honey from Walker Farms in our Honey Brown Ale. We offer 24 different beers on tap and feature many local breweries. For a more detailed experience of our beer selection or the brewing process, take a tour with the Brewer or try a flight of four beers while you enjoy sitting on our covered patio listening to some great local music and a great local cold beer. At Big Blue Brewing we care about our planet and we make every effort to source products that are either biodegradable or can be recycled thus leaving a smaller footprint on the environment."

Rating on Yelp: 3 stars

Best Quote/Review (courtesy of Yelp): "We stopped in after visiting the Cape Coral Farmer's Market on a Saturday morning around 10:00. Didn't even know they were here but we saw some outdoor games (bags and jumbo Jenga) and Google mapped it and saw there was a brewery here. I love trying small breweries beer. We sat at the bar, not expecting to eat brunch... Until we saw the menu. We ordered a flight of beer (golden ale, amber ale, honey brown, and "the lightest thing ya got"). All were delicious. We ordered the Chicken and Sweet Potato Waffle. Everything was cooked perfectly. It was good, but there was something missing. My husband and I couldn't quite put our finger on what was missing. We ordered a second flight (stout, no pout stout, orange wheat and "cream and sugar please"). They again were all good. The orange wheat was like a filtered Blue Moon with the orange already in it. Awesome! My husband also had a Bloody Mary. They make their own mix, which has a strong, but not overly strong chipotle flavor. The bartender was friendly and informative." - Lisa R., Newton, Iowa

5. Palm City Brewing - Fort Myers, FL

Although not in Cape Coral, this brewery is heavily favored in the area for its craft beers...

Description

Rating on Yelp: 5 stars

Best Quote/Review (courtesy of Yelp): "New Craft Beer on tap and almost ready to go. If you are looking for a family friendly Brewery that is centrally located, affordable, and about the beer, you've found your place. Seating is available at the bar, there are several tables, and their are floating shelves around the perimiter (sic). There is even a kid corner with a chalk wall for little kids and kids at heart. Beer selections include light ales, porters, and they even have guest taps available. We just attended their soft opening. They partnered with the Rollin Raw food truck that had seafood choices that were an excellent complement to the numerous beer selections.
Beer pricing is on par with other breweries in Southwest Florida. Service is superior. The staff is trained and knowledgeable. Be on the lookout for this family owned and run business!" - Rob A., Naples
