2017 Dining Guide for Cape Coral Living

When it comes to dining in Cape Coral, it's never difficult to find a place to eat. However, it can be difficult to decide where! 

We put together a few different types of places to consider dining at the next time you find yourself out. We hand-picked some tasty restaurants, pubs, and assorted restaurants for your tastebuds' pleasure. We aimed for local small businesses and hope that you just might find your next favorite spot. 

Pubs & Grub

Looking for a place to sit down, maybe at the bar, and enjoy some good pub grub? Or maybe you're looking for a place to catch the next game? Here are a few local-area places to try out today. 

Blue Dog Bar & Grill

(4597 Pine Island Road NW, Matlacha, Fl. 33993)

Though not officially in Cape Coral, Blue Dog Bar is close by in Matlacha. Named after the owner's first dog, Blue, this seafood-oriented bar touts friendly service and even friendlier dishes. They aim to serve locally-sourced foods, with their logo honoring those fishermen that provide for the area.

Grab a brew and their Catch of the Moment with some friends the next time you're in Matlacha.

Fathoms Restaurant & Bar

(5785 Cape Harbour Drive # 106, Cape Coral, FL 33914)

Not officially just a bar, Fathoms has two head chefs that have garnered plenty of local attention. Oh, also their cocktails are to die for! Don't be fooled by the casual setting, the dishes are top-notch, international cuisine. You can find authentic flavors and good times at Fathoms, be sure to bring some friends! 

Try their special Spicy Lamb Sausages next time you're in the area, and don't gorget to pair it with a tasty local brew. 


Nice Guys Pizza

Nice Guys Pizza's "Brazilian Love Affair" Pizza.

Nice Guys Pizza is a Cape Coral pizzeria that happily labels itself as a hole-in-the-wall restaurant with a sense of humor. With events happening weekly, including a Trivia Night, concerts and more, expect to find yourself entertained while enjoying some pizza and beer. Better yet, they have classic pinball machines! Their funky and unique decor is almost as memorable as their pizza selections. 

Plan on having a good time while chowing down on their Truffle Shuffle special next time you're at Nice Guys Pizza.

Whether you're looking for a classic bar experience or somewhere to grab some drinks and apps before your next event, we've found a few places for you. 

Nevermind Awesome Bar & Eatery

(927 Cape Coral Parkway East, Cape Coral, FL 33904)

Nevermind Awesome Bar is known for its crafty cocktails and unique brews, but ssh don't tell anyone! They are a speakeasy in the Cape Coral area that offer a tasty lunch and dinenr menu on top of their beverages. After recently expanding their outdoor Beastie Bar and Back Porch and Animal House Speakeasy. They also host Nevermind "Live", a concert venue. Each part is a different experience geared towards the foodies and cocktailers of Southwest Florida and beyond.

Cork Soakers, Deck & Wine Bar

If you're a fan of wine, Cork Soakers is your place. Their known to
 have a bit of an unusual menu, too. Think Grilled Cheese, Fried Bologna, and Bacon. They also have live music every weekend. Though yes wine is their theme, they also offer fun cocktails tailored to their unique audience. With fun events and good times, who wouldn't want to stop by? 

Try their 
Cork Soakers Creamy White Wine Risotto or Eggs Diablo if you're looking for some adventure. 



Rumrunners at Cape Harbour

Rumrunners rests in Cape Coral's harbor and boasts waterfront views with chef-inspired plates. Though the owners of Rumrunners also own other restaurants in the Cape Coral and Fort Myers area, we thought it still qualified as it's own business as opposed to a franchise.Their menu runs from seafood to steak, and their specialty cocktails draw both boaters and locals alike to their restaurant. 

Try out their classic The Rumrunner cocktail next time you catch some waves in the area.


Seafood

It's true, seafood is clearly the staple of the area. However, we wanted to highlight a few standout places that offer exceptional options for all you seafood fans. 

Fish Tale Grill

What better choice for a top seafood restaurant choice than an award-winning one? Fish Tale Grill has been voted best seafood restaurant every year since 2013 -- Now that's a great track record! Their seafood comes fresh daily, and they pride themselves on having the widest selection of options in the area. Whether you want some fresh lobster or tasty homemade soup, Fish Tale Grill has got the seafood options covered.

Lobster Lady Seafood Market & Bistro

Not only is Lobster Lady a tasty seafood bistro, but also a market. Their ultimate goal is to sell as quickly as they catch to ensure the freshest ingredients around -- and their customers aren't disappointed. Lobster Lady also offers live music every day of the week, which should help with the long wait time as the waitlist during peak season tends to fill up quickly. Each day of the week offers a special, so be sure to tune in to catch the latest. 

Pair some white wine on their next Mussels Monday where you can have all you can eat mussels.
