A Southwest Florida Hurricane Irma relief fund has been established by the Southwest Florida Community Foundation in partnership with the United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades, and Okeechobee Counties in cooperation with Lee County Emergency Management, Lee County Human & Veterans Services, and a network of nonprofits.
Interested donors can select which counties they wish to earmark for their specific fund or give for all. One hundred percent of donations will be given to serve those affected by Hurricane Irma. Gifts are tax deductible.
The funds will help those who have lost their homes or are temporarily displaced in the wake of devastation, as well as many other disaster-related causes. Visit www.floridacommunity.com or simply text GIVESWFL to 444999 to give. The online donation form can be directly accessed here.
