Tundra Homes: La Palma II Model Garners 7 Builders’ Showcase Awards

A few years ago, David Gydosh, president of Tundra Homes, envisioned a smaller home for himself and his wife to live in. So he constructed a home in which he could “work out the tweaks” before he built the model. That model would eventually become the La Palma II, and in 2017 it earned his company seven Cape Coral Construction Industry Association, or CCIA, Builders' Showcase Awards—including best overall home.

Tundra Homes is no stranger to the Southwest Florida market. In fact, it has been helping discerning home buyers realize their dreams for the past 25 years. Gydosh, along with his daughter, Heidi Beverley, who is the company’s vice president, have dedicated their home-construction business to exceeding the needs of their sophisticated clients with “end-to-end service and satisfaction.”

“We love what we do and we take pride in what we build,” Beverley states.  “Southwest Florida is where we live, work and play. We treat every client like family and view it as a privilege to build for you.”

Just one step inside the La Palma II model located at 627 Rose Garden Road in Cape Coral and Tundra Home's passion and dedication for expert workmanship is on full display. It simply can't be missed. In addition to winning the best overall model, it was also honored for best livability, best pool, best outdoor living, best kitchen, best bathrooms and best interior design.

With all of those accolades behind it, Tundra Homes is not slowing down. A new model—The Islamorada—will be making its debut at the 2018 CCCIA Builders’ Showcase. And although there have been some setbacks in the market, Gydosh is confident that his company will continue to thrive.

“Despite dealing with a recent storm [Hurricane Irma] and battling price increases and labor shortages, Cape Coral is still an excellent value and place to live,” Gydosh explains. “We hear from our clients that we are willing to work with them when other builders can't or won't. We welcome all of the challenges that come with building your dream home and we plan on being here for a long time.”
