Lobster Lady Seafood Market & Bistro is known as Cape Coral’s best seafood restaurant and market. They are located on Cape Coral Parkway in units 2 and 3. Offering dine-in, take-out, market orders, and delivery options, Lobster Lady not only provides the freshest seafood in Cape Coral but a variety of ways for you to enjoy.

Lobster Lady is open every day of the week and offers a daily happy hour from 11 am-5 pm and 10 pm-12 am. Because of Lobster Lady’s popularity, be sure to call for reservations ahead of time, especially for those with a party of 5 or more.

We were able to catch up with Lobster Lady Seafood Market to chat about how they came to be, their best offerings, and so much more!

What is Lobster Lady? How would you describe it to a friend?

Lobster Lady is a family restaurant that surrounds a seafood market. The market consists of locally caught fish, crab, shrimp, and other meats and fish from all over the continent and even around the world. The concept of selling enough seafood through dining, takeout, market, and delivery that we can purchase bulk seafood with the goal of running out almost daily. The outcome is to have the freshest food in the area - fresh food is delivered 7 days per week and several times a day.

When and why did you start the business?

February 2022 will be our 10th anniversary. Twelve years ago when we started looking to open a little market & sandwich shop we had no idea there was such a demand for high-quality seafood in Cape Coral. We (as residents) noticed a lack of made-from-scratch restaurants in the area, so that is where we started our concept.

What's something you wish people knew about your business?

First of all, there has never been a microwave in Lobster Lady.

Secondly, we make food from scratch and some people think we should be faster, but when a customer orders food, we then cut the fish, we saute the fish in sauces that we mix at the time. We cook the pasta, spinach from leaf, shellfish, etc. when you order it. We do that for up to 1,000 people in a single day.

And thirdly, there will never be a microwave at Lobster Lady.

What is your most popular dish?

We have close to 300 items on the menu and with the build-it-yourself menu style, customers make up new dishes all the time. If I have to answer the question though… Lobster…. It is in the name.  We have 1,000 gallons of live lobster tanks in the dining room. We also have almost every size New England lobster tail you can imagine. The lobster rolls are amazing and, speaking of rolls, the Lobster Lady Sushi Roll is insanely delish and popular.

Personally, what is your favorite dish?

Red Snapper Benedict. I forgot to mention we have breakfast on Saturday and Sundays. Our benedict is made with whatever protein you would like and topped with a key lime hollandaise that sets us apart from the other breakfast restaurants.

What inspired the menu?

Actually, customers. We would put an item out as a special and if the customers loved the item, we would move it from the special menu to the actual menu. We have done that for 10 years.  Now you know why our menu is one of the largest in the world.

Are you involved with or do you support any local nonprofits, community organizations, or causes?

All of the above - schools, local junior sports, Hope Hospice, Florida Youth SHINE, and many, many others over the years.

Why did you choose to be in Cape Coral?

This is our home. As far as we are concerned there is no place on earth we would rather be. So adding something like Lobster Lady, and soon-to-be High Tide Social House, is just doing our part to make paradise just a little better.

What is the importance of the Cape Coral community to you?

Cape Coral is our little corner of the world. We love boating, fishing, dining out, 4 generations of our family live in Cape Coral, with hundreds of friends who are some of the best people on the planet. We have been watching Cape Coral bloom for over 50 years and it’s just getting started.

Do you have any upcoming events, specials, or new dishes that people should know about?

We always have dinner specials, drink specials, and entertainment.

The newest thing we are excited about is the new restaurant we are building at Tarpon Point. It's called High Tide Social House and it’s a free-standing building next to the marina with a view of the river. We will have wood-fired pizza, pressed sandwiches, fresh salads, and spectacular fresh-from-scratch dinners.  We are currently under construction and should be open in late summer or early fall.

For information about specials, events, and the new location, like our Facebook page.

Anything else you'd like to add? Anything else we should know about you, the business & activities, how people can get involved, etc?

We just want to thank Cape Coral for supporting Lobster Lady for the last 10 years.

Also, thanks for your patience especially the last few years since our popularity has overwhelmed us with customers and the wait times are longer than desired. We will continue to expand and improve every chance we get. We will always do our best to give you the freshest and best dining experience possible.
