Year-Round Events to Save for Summer

Make it to the Market

Looking for a place to enjoy live music, see stunning art, learn about backyard farming, taste artisanal foods, check out one-of-a-kind gifts and fill your shopping bag with plenty of locally grown produce? The GreenMarket, hosted by Alliance for the Arts in Fort Myers, is the place to go on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm.

“Plus, there’s plenty of shade, camaraderie and community—the perfect setting to enjoy a bite and relax,” says Desiree DeMolina, communications manager for the Alliance.

Furthermore, yoga lovers can do warrior poses, down dogs and mountain poses during Om Grown—GreenMarket Yoga with Nicole at 9:30 am. (Bring your mat.)

The popular GreenMarket takes place year-round—rain or shine—but it’s especially nice in the more relaxed summer months.

For more information, contact Saturday GreenMarket, Alliance for the Arts, 10091 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers. 239-939-2787; artinlee.org.

Check Out the Cars

Car lovers will love seeing the finest automobiles at Cape Coral Cars and Coffee, held at the Shops at Surfside (2354 Surfside Blvd.) throughout the summer. Among the 300-plus sweet rides on view are Mustangs, Camaros and Corvettes. Part of the pleasure is mingling with an eclectic group of men and women who share a passion for cars. And, of course, you can also enjoy a good cup of coffee. This year-round event occurs during the summer months on July 11, August 8 and September 12, from 9 am until 12 pm. Be sure to also check out Cruise In At Bell Tower on the 4th Sunday of every month.
