Americans everywhere seem to be finding creative ways to support Ukrainians whose lives have been turned upside down and inside out as a result of the war. Recently, authors and artists from the United States and across the world came together to write and illustrate an e-book.
Rob Daniel, a children's author from Australia, posted on The Write Away, Draw Away Facebook group about using their creative talents to raise money for Ukrainian refugees. The idea took off, and Jennifer DeAngelis, an author and illustrator from Punta Gorda, joined in. "It’s just sad what’s going on right now over there...I have two kids of my own," DeAngelis explains.
Other creative minds from The Netherlands, Wales, and other countries participated to create a family-friendly e-book full of stories, poems, illustrations and cartoons. Kelvin Smith from Wales says, "We’re all suffering with and thinking about them, you know, and if we can do anything to help, and this is just our way."
If you want to support this cause by purchasing the e-book or donating to provide relief for Ukrainian refugees, visit the International Children's Foundation.
