Tyler Young, a 28-year-old Cape Coral native, recently opened The Belle Theatre, which he named after his nana Belle Mira. Mira passed away in 2017 and she was always a big theatre supporter. Young shares, "She was always at every show I did whether I was backstage, on stage, or directing, didn’t matter, she was there." With only one live performing arts venue in the city, Cape Coral was the perfect location for Young to bring about his dream and honor his nana.

Young knows how theatre kids can be viewed and wants the Belle Theatre to be a place of inclusion. He wants to encourage kids to participate in summer drama camps and fall performances. Evangelina Nudi is a 10-year-old who joined one of the summer camps this year. She wants to be an actor, dancer, or singer. Young is helping local Southwest Florida kids embrace their dreams just like he did.
