Fall Highlights This October

October brings a few annual festivities that everyone looks forward to every year. 

One local October highlight is the annual Oktoberfest held at the German American Social Club located  2101 SW Pine Island Rd, Cape Coral, 239-283-1400. 

The event kicks off on Friday, October 17 and is open from 4 pm to midnight. On Saturday October 18, stop by from noon to midnight, or swing by on Sunday October 19 from noon to 8pm. The fun continues the following weekend starting Friday October 24, from 4 pm to midnight, Saturday October 25, noon to midnight, and through Sunday, October 26, noon to 8 pm. 

"We are celebrating 40 years of Munich in Cape Coral," says Publicity Chair, Holly Jo King. This event is Florida’s biggest Oktoberfest—and includes great food, live music, dancing, laughter, and plenty of German beer, especially in the Bavarian garden The music ranges from country to polka to blues and more. Undoubtedly, you’ll run into someone you know as the event is quite popular.

"This year’s Ms. Oktoberfest is Cape Coral’s Sara Skorak," adds King.

Also, October 11 is Cape Coral’s next Bike Night is hosted on SE 47th Terrace from 5 pm to 10 pm. The 19th season event features food, vendors, live music with three different bands, and a slow bike race, starting at 8 pm.  This popular event is organized by the City of Cape Coral’s Parks & Recreation Department and takes place three times a year, the other  upcoming months are February and April 2026. Motorcycle enthusiasts aren’t the only ones who love this event as it’s fun and exciting for all, with local food and live music, including the Carlie Pace Band, and Hardwired: Metallica Tribute. Another is third annual Trunk or Treat at Cape Coral City Hall, 1015 Cultural Park Blvd., on
Friday, October 24, 2025. This annual free Halloween event is a great way to celebrate spook-tac-ular fun in a safe environment. There will be yummy candy giveaways (while supplies last), festive music, and fantastic fun.  It’s an event that the littlest of them all look forward to every year. Costumes are encouraged.  It’s a great way to kick off the holiday season!

So, get out and enjoy the crisp October evenings as there’s plenty of evening fun all month long. And they won’t be back until next year!
